Are you mindful of this transition into the New Year

What a year this has been for many of us. It hasn't been easy for most of us, but it hasn't been horrible either. As we express our yearly goals across all of our social media platforms for the New Year don't miss the messages that God has given us throughout this year. Remember to not base your goals according to what you want and how you think things should be but plan according to God's will. Make sure you are in alignment with Him and not self. We would save ourselves from experiencing disappointment, failure, envy, etc. Move out of God's way in this season and watch how He will turn things around the moment you surrender to Him.

Transitions happen throughout the year all the time unexpectedly, not just once a year. As we prepare to enter into a New Year what are you expecting to happen? What changes are you expecting this upcoming year. I want us to be mindful that just because the year is changing doesn't mean our current season is coming to an end. God may want you to stay in your season of taking a break or maybe he wants you to stay in your season of enduring grief. The changing of a year doesn't mean an immediate change into a new season for you as an individual.

What if God's vision for you wouldn't take a year it would take a second based off of one decision? What if His vision for you is the complete opposite of what you have planned out? If God, instructed you to complete a vision board without listing materialistic things or what YOU want and desire. What would your board look like. God will never take us down the wrong path, and this is why we should always seek wise counsel from Him.

We are not excited to celebrate a "new day" the same way we are about celebrating a "new year". Why is that? Is it because we appreciate entering a new year more than we do a new day. No matter the week, month, or year we must always embrace every second like it is our last. I want us to think about how our lives would be if we celebrate a new day every day. Instead hosting yearly vision board parties what about creating daily or weekly to do lists. Imagine how much you would be able to accomplish within a week or month instead of waiting on a year.

Prayer,

Lord you are the giver of guidance and wisdom. I ask that you allow our plans to be in alignment with your will and your word. Let us not bring to pass anything that you did not plan for us. Let us seek wise counsel from you as we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let us not lose sight for what you have planned for us and let us not grow weary this upcoming year. Always give us a sign to move out of your way when we become too comfortable with working against you instead of with you. may we not focus on materialistic things in this season but experience what it is that you want us to have.
